1937 FORD ROADSTER1937 was a year of many historical facts. The German Zeppelin Hindenburg tragically fell from the sky in a ball of flames, The Golden Gate Bridge was opened and connected the City of San Francisco to Marin County, and Howard Hughes set the record for a non stop flight Coast to Coast from Los Angeles to New York. The 1937 Ford featured a more rounded look with fine horizontal bars in the convex front and hood-side grilles. The front grille was V-shaped, rather than following the fenders into a pentagon shape, as on the 1936 model. Faired-in headlights were a major modernization found on both the Standard and DeLuxe trim versions, though much of the rest of the design was shared between Fords two lines. Slantback sedans gained a rear trunk door, though space was limited, and Trunkback versions continued gaining sales. Coast to Coast Customs in California saw the popularity of this design in a Street Rod application and Manufacturers the best designed aftermarket Fiberglass Bodies and Modern Chassis on the market. This beautiful 37 Roadster is a beautiful example of Coast to Coasts rendering and brings all of todays modern technology with the beautiful lines and designs of a 1937 Ford roadster . The exterior is sprayed in a beautiful PPG Pale Orange which is strikingly subtle and classy. Bringing yet even more classic looks is a hand designed and applied graphic stripe which only enhances the overall exterior look. To finish the look with a bang is a set of polished aluminum American Racing Wheels with 20 wheels on the rear and 17s on the front. Notice all the other features including a removeable top, chopped and shaved body, flushed mounted handles , Hagan fuel door and suicide doors and it definitely doesnt make this a 37 Ford of yesteryear. A Coast to Coast complete Chassis and Suspension makes her move down the road like a highway cruiser should drive. From the rear a 9 inch Ford is installed with a 4 Link rear suspension with disc brakes. The front has all the modern features also including coil over shocks, upper and lower tubular control arms, rack and pinion steering and Mustang II 2 inch drop spindles. This suspension system not only gives it the modern low ride appeal but makes it a dream to cruise the streets in. Powering this ride is a freshly built 355 with Tune Port Injection. It is fuled by an external electric fuel pump, cooled with an aluminum radiator and electric fans, engine fumes exit thru polished headers and a completely stainless custom dual exhaust. Other features include Billet pulleys and electronically climate controlled Air Conditioning. The Interior is also loaded with a ton of other features that can only be described as flawless including all customer leather starting with the dual 6 way power adjustable bucket seats, console, door panels and dash area. Using all Auto Meter gauges to keep an eye on how she is running while steering it with a Billet custom steering wheel. A Lokar shifter easily directs the Turbo 400 what gear she should be riding in. Taking all of this in account, the car is barely broke in since completion with only a little over 1200 miles since completion and you can own this car for well under the amount spent on her. This is a no excuse one of a kind ride that you can enjoy from Coast to Coast just like Howard Hughes or keeping it close to home to wow your buddies.
